WHAT MAKES NATIONAL POLYTECHNIC BAMBUI UNIQUE?

The Cameroon Educational System has done the excellent job of producing a good number of low and high-level manpower. Little has been done, however, to produce middle-level job oriented manpower. The resulting inadequate supply of technically oriented middle level manpower has therefore slowed down the growth rate in the agricultural, industrial and tertiary sectors of the economy.

National Polytechnic Bambui has thus been established to assist in effectively tackling the problem of inadequate supply of technical manpower through vocationalizing and professionalising education and making it job-oriented at the lower and middle levels.

Thus NPB's academic, professional, technical and vocational training programmes have been adapted in form and content to meet specific cultural, social and economic environments, so that the full benefits of higher education can be gained.

The programmes ensure that upon graduation, students can make a significant difference in their professional lives and in society as a whole. By developing new knowledge, methods and approaches, NPB equips students with the tools and techniques they need to grow and develop as:

i) Employees,

ii) Managers of their own enterprises and,

iii) Employers.
